Nanhi Kali

Ghousia in August 2011 (age 14)

I started sponsoring Ghousia in 2010 through Nanhi Kali. Ghousia was born in 1997 and studies in standard 9 currently. Due to extra help she was able to be "double-promoted" and is now in a grade that more closely matches her age.

 She lives with her mother, who is employed in handicrafts, her father, a casual laborer, and her 2 brothers and 3 sisters in South India. She likes to study Urdu and wants to work in the field of medicine. She is a member of maths club, and is described as friendly, energetic and loves to play noncompetitive games with her friends.

Ghousia's organization is somewhat more distant, so unfortunately I know less about Ghousia than I would like to!
